DESCRIPTION:\nUnderstandng the Economic, Policy, and Health Care Delivery System Impacts of the Reconciliation Bill  \n \nThis presentation will explore how the Reconciliation Bill (a.k.a. One Big Beautiful Bill), signed into law on July 4, 2025, will impact the economic outlook nationally and in New Mexico. It will also outline potential policy changes stemming from the passage of the bill and how those policy changes will alter health care delivery across the country and in New Mexico - both for Medicaid beneficiaries as well as individuals accessing commercial and marketplace insurance coverage.  \n  \n \nJami Snyder is the President and Chief Executive Officer of JSN Strategies LLC in Phoenix, Arizona, where\n she provides health care-related consulting services to a range of public and private sector clients. From\n January 2019 - January 2023, she served as a cabinet member under Arizona Governor Doug Ducey,\n charged with overseeing Arizona’s Medicaid program. During her tenure, Ms. Snyder spearheaded\n efforts to stabilize the state’s health care delivery system over the course of a multi-year public health\n emergency and advance the agency’s Whole Person Care Initiative, culminating in the approval of the\n Housing and Health Opportunities demonstration as a part of the program’s 1115 waiver renewal. Ms.\n Snyder also served as the Medicaid director in Texas. She was president of the board for the National\n Association of Medicaid Directors from 2021 – 2022 and in May 2023 she was appointed to the\n Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission (MACPAC). Ms. Snyder holds a master’s degree in\n political science from Arizona State University.\n
